HAPPY SPRING!
Reminder - Reading Logs will be due on April 3rd. Children that complete their logs, with a parent signature will participate in a class reward.
Special Visitors - On April 7th, there will be school performance with Mrs. Ander and Mrs. Potter on their book Imagine That! It will consist of an interpretative reading, where children will explore their own creativity and imagination. This link will provide additional information: Imagine That!
Reading/Language Arts
We will continue with our animal reports. Children will be editing their report: checking for complete sentences, spelling, capital letters, and punctuation. They will rewrite their report and add the many text features and they have learned: table of contents, bold print, glossary, captions and fact boxes.
Math
We will continue with data and there will be a test on Chapter 10, Data after spring break. Our next chapter will be Geometry and Fraction Concepts. We will be identifying and describing 3-D shapes according to the number of faces, edges and vertices.
Science
We will learn how fossils are formed and what kinds of things we can learn from them.

Homework
I would like the children read some fun and interesting books over spring break, if possible and complete their Reading Logs.
