                    Happy St. Patrick's Day

Reading/Language Arts
We will continue to collect information for our animal reports.  Children will begin writing paragraphs with main ideas and details.  They will work with partners to revise and edit their reports.
*  Please check your child's folder for a letter describing the homework project (poster/diorama) for your child's animal.  Projects are due on Thursday, April 13th.

Math
The children enjoyed measuring the many objects around the classroom using centimeters and meters.  Next week we will begin Chapter 10, Data.  We will collect data in a survey, record that data in a tally chart and a picture graph.

Science
We will learn that rocks are made in different ways and have different minerals.  Rocks can have many colors and some are harder than others.
