Reading/Language Arts
We will be reading the book, That Book Woman, by Heather Henson. This story is a tale that honors a special part of American history - The Pack Horse Librarians. The librarians brought books to children and made them into lifetime readers.
Focus - identify characters, setting and plot (beginning, middle, end)
Vocabulary Words - plowing, dusky, scholar, britches, passel, yearn
We will be discussing/writing how one person's act of kindness can make a difference in a community.
Math
Our focus for next week will be adding 3-digit numbers without regrouping and with regrouping tens as ones and hundreds as tens.
