Reminder - Six Flags Reading Logs are due on Tuesday, February 23rd.

Mitten Tree - We will be collecting for our Mitten Tree until December 17th.  We welcome mittens, hats, gloves, and scarves for families in need.

Classroom Presentations
Children will be sharing their holiday traditions with their classmates.  Monday will be children with numbers 1-5, Wednesday will be children with numbers 6-15 and Thursday will be children with numbers 16-21.

Holidays Around the World
Next week the children will learn how holidays are celebrated in other countries.  They will learn about Mexico in our class and travel to other classroom to learn about other countries.  The children will be learning about Israel in Mrs. Onorato's class, Sweden in Mrs. Oliver's class, Italy in Mrs. Walega's class and France in Mrs. Holtrup's class.

Junior Achievement
Mrs. Spiros, from the McDonald's Corporation will be coming into the classroom to present the following topics: 
  • what is a community
  • what are careers and required skills
  • how business and government help the community
  • how taxation works
  • the role of voting and money in a community and economy
Math
The children have done a great measuring this week in inches, feet, and centimeters.
We will continue with measurement next week.



Silly Sweater Day - Thursday
Children will be designing their own silly sweater to share with the class.

Holiday Party - will be on Friday, from 1:30-2:30.
