We would like to invite everyone to our Open House on Thursday, April 23rd from 6:30-8:00 p.m.
The children have done a wonderful job researching habitats and preparing our bulletin boards and classroom to reflect what they have learned. We can't wait to share all our projects with family and friends.
Reading/Language Arts
Children will be editing their research papers and writing their final draft. They will also be adding some text features to their research such as: the table to contents, captions, pictures, illustrations, fun facts and a glossary.
Math
We will continue with Topic 16, Time, Graphs and Data:
- use rulers to measure objects and graph results
- make and use a pictograph to solve problems
- use picture graphs and bar graphs to solve problems
Social Studies
We will continue with Unit 5, Our Country Long Ago:
- learn about the significance of national celebrations such as Independence Day
- vocabulary: pioneer
- name several sources of information about a given period or event and interpret information on a timeline.
Homework
