Field Trip
Our field trip to Fullersburg Woods Nature Center is on Thursday. It is an outdoor field trip so please have your child dress for the weather. Boots are recommended for walking on the trails (even if the weather warms up it will be muddy). Please send a bag lunch, we will be eating in the classroom when we return.
Reading
We will be reading City Green, by DyAnne DisSalvo-Ryan. This story explains how neighbors come together to turn a vacant lot into a growing space for everyone to enjoy.
Children will discuss ways to show good citizenship.

Math - Money
- count money greater than a dollar and write the amount with a dollar sign and decimal point
- make an organize list to find different combinations of coins
- review for a test on Topic 13, Money
Science
hardness of rocks- children will be testing the hardness of different rocks with a scratch test - using their fingernail, penny and paper clip
fossils
- what can we learn from them
- how are fossils formed
- vocabulary: dinosaur, extinct, fossil
