Reading/Language Arts
Children will work on their technology project.  They will continue to gather information about a country to add to their slide show.  Their presentation will include a map, 4 important details, and three sentences describing what libraries are like in their country.

Math
There will be a review and test on Topic 12, Geometry.  We will begin Topic 13, Counting Money.
  • identify the value of a group:  half dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies
  • count collections of coins
Social Studies
We will review Unit 4, Our Country, for the unit test.

Science
We will begin Unit C, Our Earth, Exploring Earth's Surface.  
  •  identify causes and effects of changes to Earth's surface
  • describe features of earth's surface
  • recognize that Earth's surface is made up of different solid materials
  • vocabulary:  weathering, erosion, earthquake, volcano, boulder, mineral, soil
