Hope everyone had a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Reading
We will be reading Fireflies!, by Julie Brinckloe.  This story reflects a classic theme in children's literature - the need to set something free in order to keep it.  A boy and his friends are excited to see fireflies making patterns of light in the dark around his home.  After catching many of them, the boy realizes that the fireflies' lights are dimming.
We will also begin exploring habitats with Desert Night Desert Day by Anthony D. Fredericks, and National Geographic Kids- First Big Book of the Ocean by Catherine D. Hughes.
