Reading/Language Arts
We will be reviewing our friendship unit and discussing the qualities that make a good friend.  The children will be writing an opinion piece explaining the qualities of a good friend. They will use evidence form the texts we've read.  Their piece will include an introduction, reasons to support the opinion and a concluding statement.  

Math
We will be regrouping a ten as 10 ones when subtracting.  Children will begin by using models, by the end of the week they will be subtracting a 2-digit number from a 2-digit number with and without regrouping.


Science
We would like to send a BIG THANK YOU! to Mrs. Conyer.  The children enjoyed her awesome lesson on plants, especially the project they have to bring home. Happy Growing!
Next week we will be sorting animals into groups:  mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. There will be a review and test on Chapter 2, Animals.
