Reminder
Children will need to bring a lunch on Monday, we will eat in the classroom. We will be going to Fairview Village to sing holiday carols.
Reading/Language Arts
Children will continue with their culminating writing task for our unit on Friendship. We will continue to work on irregular verbs.
Math
We will be finishing Topic 9, Subtracting 2-Digit Numbers. Children will use number lines to model 2-digit subtraction. They will relate addition to subtraction by using one operation to check the other. There will be a review and test on Friday.

There will be a review and test on Chapter 2, Animals.
Holidays Around the WorldThe children will be traveling to the other second grade classrooms to learn how people from different countries celebrate holidays. They will be learning about China, Sweden, Mexico, Poland and Israel.
Homework - ask your child to explain their homework, they will develop a better understanding
Reading - read for 20 minutes and complete Reading Log
Math - practice facts and workbook page
Spelling - sorts, there will be a test on Wednesday
