Reading Writing Workshop:  Focus on Writing Traits:  Personal Narrative
The workshop for this theme focuses on the traits of voice, conventions, and presentation.  Students will write about an experience that matters to them.  They will focus on details that will interest their audience and choose words and phrases that show clearly how they feel.  Their narratives will include a beginning, middle, and end with details to help the reader picture what has happened.

Math
We have begun Chapter 15, Plane Figures and spatial Sense.  Students will describe and classify plane figures and combine them to make new figures.

Science
We will review for a test on Chapter 6, Natural Resources.  The students have been learning about resources and how to protect them by recycling, reusing, and reducing.  This week students that wish to participate will have the opportunity to show and tell about a project they made by using the 3R's. Students with numbers 1-7 will have show and tell on Wednesday, numbers 8-15 on Thursday, and numbers 16-22 on Friday.

Social Studies
Students will find locations on maps using a map grid.
