Workshop
This week the
students will be working on
persuasive writing. They will be using
logic, language, and evidence to influence the reader. We will be using the 5 steps in the writing
process: prewriting, drafting, revising,
proofreading, and publishing. We will be
looking for spelling errors, complete sentences, capitalization, punctuation,
and a topic sentence with related ideas.
Math
We will be solving problems by using tables, bar graphs, and pictographs.
Science
Students will classify leaves and compare the structural characteristics of different plants.
Social Studies
We will learn how people depend on the physical environment and its resources to meet their needs.
Homework
Reading - read for 20 minutes and complete Reading Log
Math - practice facts and worksheet (1-side)
