OLSAT Testing
Students will be taking the Otis-Lennon School Ability Test this week.  Please make sure your child gets enough sleep.

Reading/Writing Workshop

We will be doing expository writing.  Students will use the information they collected to write a report about their rainforest animal.  They will include information about the animal's characteristics, what layer of the rainforest they live in, what they eat, who their enemies are and how they protect themselves.

A letter went home explaining that students are expected to bring in a visual such as a poster, model, or picture.  Visuals should be turned in by April 23rd.

Math
There will be a test on Chapter 19, Fractions.  We will begin Chapter 20, Place Value.  We will use models to identify the number of hundreds, tens, and ones.  Students will read and write 3-digit numbers in different ways.

Science
We will learn how people affect the environment through land development for homes and industry.  Animals must find new places to live.
