Collecting Can Foods - We will be collecting can foods for the Food Pantry to celebrate the 100th day of school on Wednesday, February 8th. Each room will try to collect 100 cans.

Reading
Theme: Amazing Animals
Genre: Fantasy
The story for this week is Officer Buckle and Gloria. Napville Elementary School's students always ignore Officer Buckle's safety tips, until a police dog named Gloria accompanies him when he gives safety speeches.

Math
Students will be describing events as a.m. or p.m. and determining how much time has passed from start to finish. We will have a test on Chapter 13, Time

Science
We will performing a scratch test and drawing conclusions about the hardness of different types of rocks.

Social Studies
We will learn how government establishes order, provides security, and manages conflict.

Homework
Reading - read 20 minutes and complete reading log
Math - practice facts & one side of a worksheet, 2 sides of a workbook page
