Elizabeth Ide's Japan Relief Fund

The story for this week is Jalapeño Bagels. For International Day at school, Pablo wants to bring something that reflects the cultures of both his parents.
Target Skills:
Phonics: contractions; -le ending in two-syllable words
Comprehension: following directions; questions
High Frequency Words: early, hair, instead
Vocabulary Words: bakery, dough, customer, ingredients, culture, recipe


Math
Students will measure lengths of objects using centimeters and meters. They will measure the perimeter of plane figures and area in square units.

Science
What is heat? Students will measure temperature, identify heat sources, and explain the transfer of heat.

Social Studies
We will review Our Country Long Ago for a unit test.
