Great Job!
The students did a great job donating money for Japan. The total collected was $1141.93 and it will be given to the Red Cross.


Homework

Please have your child continue to read over spring break. Students that complete their reading logs will receive a ticket to Great America in May.

Genre: realistic fiction
The story for this week is Carousel. Alex's father misses her birthday party, and everything is spoiled until the animals on his gift of a tiny carousel come to life in a dream.

Math

There will be a test on the Chapter: Length, Perimeter, and Area. We will begin Chapter 18, Weight, Mass, Capacity, and Temperature.

Science
We will review Light and Heat for a chapter test.

Social Studies
We will begin Unit 6, People and Places in History. The vocabulary words are: immigrant, holiday, custom, landmark, artifact, invention and communication.
