Special Thanks
We would like to thank all the parents who helped make our class Halloween Party awesome. We would especially like to thank Mrs. Dourdourekas, Mrs. Mosebach, Mrs. Samuels, and Mrs. Williams for coming in and helping with the games, and treats.

I would like to thank the class for the special Halloween treat, a wallflower pumpkin diffuser set. It was a wonderful surprise.

The story for this week is Around the Pond: Who's Been Here? When Cammy and William set out to pick blueberries, they encounter a series of clues and learn about life in and around the pond.

Math
We will continue to practice 2-digit addition with and without regrouping. We will also use mental math to add 2-digit numbers.

Students will identify ways people can conserve and replenish natural resources. There will be a review and a unit test on "Our Earth."

Junior Achievement
Ms. Kegnast, a Junior Achievement volunteer, will be coming in once a week to teach us about the community. We will learning how a community works by listening and making observations this week.
