Magazine Kick-Off
Our magazine kick-off will be Monday. Friday will be the first day to turn in orders for prizes.

Reading
Theme: Silly Stories
Genre: Fantasy
The story for this week is Julius. Julius, a pig from Alaska, teaches Maya and her family important lessons about fun and sharing.

Reading Strategies: Monitor/clarify, Compare/contrast, Making inferences

Math
Students will learn different strategies for subtracting: counting back, fact families, and using addition.

Social Studies
We will learn about diversity in communities, as we look at New York City with its Chinese and Italian neighborhoods.
