The story for this week is Mrs. Brown Went to Town. Life on the farm changes when Mrs. Brown goes to the hospital and a cow, two pigs, three ducks, and a yak move into her house.

Math
We will have a test on Chapter 2, Subtraction Facts and Strategies. We will begin Chapter 3, Place Value to 100. Students will be modeling and identifying tens and ones.

Science
We will identify goods that belong to the vegetable group and learn how vegetables are a good source of vitamin A, which helps us see in the dark.

Social Studies
We will compare rural, urban, and suburban communities. We will read about Henrietta King, an historical figure, that helped to build one of the largest farms in Texas, and donated land to the community.

Reading - read 20 minutes and complete reading log
Math- practice facts and one side of the math worksheet
