Open House
We would like to invite everyone to our Open House on Thursday, April 29th. All of the children have been hard at work turning our room into a rain forest. They have done a wonderful job and would like to share their work with you.

Reading
Theme: Family Time
Genre: realistic fiction
The story for this week is Thunder Cake. Grandma finds a way to dispel her grandchild's fear of thunderstorms.

Math
We will be measuring temperature in degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius. There will be a review for a test on the chapter Weight, Mass, Capacity, and Temperature.

Science
We now have 10 chrysalids in our butterfly pavilion. We are anxiously awaiting their metamorphosis into adult butterflies.

Social Studies
Students will learn that information about a given period or event can come from several sources.

Daily Homework
Reading - 20 minutes and complete Reading Log
Math - practice math facts and 1 side of a math worksheet
