Reading/Language Arts
Students will be working on their expository. We will be using the lab to find a picture of their rain forest animal for their animal report. The children will begin writing the reports with the information that they have collected from the Internet and books.

Math
We will be measuring the lengths of objects in inches, feet, yards, and centimeters. We will also be measuring the perimeter of plane figures.

Science
Students will learn about the characteristics of mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians.
Big News - The caterpillars have arrived today. We will be observing the life cycle of a painted lady butterfly over the next several weeks.

Social Studies
We will compare the lives and contributions of various Native American Groups and locate regions of the Powhatans, the Sioux, and the Pueblo Indians.

Reading - read 20 minutes, fill out reading log
Math- practice facts, worksheet
