We have added 6 books to our classroom library. The children are anxious to begin reading our new books.
Reading/Language Arts
We will be reading: The Three Little Pigs, The Three Little Javelinas, and The True Story of the Three Little Pigs.
Focus: retell stories from diverse cultures and compare the points of view of different characters in stories
Vocabulary: bundle, turnips, chum, fortune, blazing, wandered, whirling, whirlwind, tumbleweed, panting, trotted, raggedy, whisked
Math
We will be identifying and naming equal parts of circles and rectangles as halves, thirds, or fourths.
Science
We will be learning about our natural resources: air, water, rocks, soil, plants, and animals. We will identify ways that resources are wasted and learn ways to practice conservation by turning off lights and water when not being used, recycling and reusing things in new ways.
