THANK YOU! - to Mrs. Rivera for planning our class party. We also want to thank the parents that donated treats and paper products and our party parents Mrs. Ciocan, Mr. Chapman, Mrs. Monahan and Mrs. Portell for the games and crafts. Everyone had an awesome time.

to the students that completed their Reading Log for October. They have received a certificate from Pizza Hut. Please check the Take Home Folder for the certificate.
If you have forgotten to turn in your Reading Log, please bring it to school next week for a certificate.
Reading/Language Arts
This week the children have been working on skits. They were given a problem and they wrote a short script using the "I Message" Process. You start with the word "I" and state how you feel, next add "what" the other person did to make you feel this way, then "why you feel this way and finally "what" you want or need the other person to do. They will share their skits with the class.
We have finished our Unit 1, Friendship. Next week the children will be given a summative assessment.
Math
We will continue modeling addition with and without regrouping.
Social Studies
Children will demonstrate map skills. They will learn that there are many ways to describe the place where they live: house, neighborhood, city, state, country and continent.
