Too Much Noise! The children did a great job, everyone enjoyed the musical.

Reading Logs are due on November 30th. Children that have completed 21 days of reading for 20 minutes will be invited to wear pajamas as a reading reward for November.
Reading
We will begin our next unit, Neighborhood and Community. Our first story will be Officer Buckle and Gloria. The Napville Elementary School's students always ignore Officer Buckle's safety tips, until a police dog named Gloria accompanies him when he gives safety speeches.
We will focus on author's purpose, main idea, and details.
Grammar - we will focus on irregular verbs and reflective pronouns
Math
Children will
- work with an open number line to solve addition problems
- skip count by 10s within 1,000.
- demonstrate an understanding that digits in a 3-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones
Science
Our next chapter will be Plants. We will learn about the main parts of plants roots, stems, leaves, and flowers and identify the needs of plants as sunlight, air, water, and nutrients from the soil.
