Reading
We will be comparing 2 stories, The Three Little Pigs and the The Three Little Javelinas. We will also be reading the True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! by Jon Scieszka. Students will be comparing the points of view of different characters in the stories.
Language Arts
Everyone was very excited to get their pen pal letters from Mrs. Pellin's third grade class.
We are writing back, our letters include: heading, greeting/salutation, body, complimentary closing and signature.
Math
We will be reviewing
- money
- fractions, comparing with different denominators
Science
We will begin Chapter 13, Motion.
What Are Ways Things Move?
- understand that things move at different speeds
- know that objects exhibit different kinds of motion (straight, circular, back and forth)
- classify moves as pushes or pulls
- know that the amount and direction of the force exerted on an object determine how much and in what direction the object will move
- know that a way to change how something is moving is to push or pull it
