Congratulations!!!  105 Cans

We would like to thank all the families that participated in our can collection.  The cans will be going to the West Suburban Food Pantry.




Special Thank You - to everyone that donated party treats and paper goods for our Valentine's Day Party.  Everyone had an awesome time.  Students enjoyed making bookmarks, playing games and creating a Valentine poem provided by Mrs. Rerucha, Mrs. Bewley, and Mrs. Frangella.

Reading
Theme:   Focus on Biography
The biographies this week include:  Reach for the Stars:  The Ellen Ochoa Story, President Theodore Roosevelt, and Wilma Rudolph:  Olympic Track Champion.
Students will be reading biographies and making a time-line.

Math
There will be a test on Chapter 12, Use Money.  We will begin Chapter 13, Time.  Students will explore  measurement of time in minutes and hours.  They will tell time to the quarter hour and to the 5 minutes.

Science
We will review for a test on Chapter 5, Exploring Earth's Surface.

Social Studies
We will learn how governments establish order, provide security, and manage conflict.

Homework
Reading - read for 20 minutes & complete reading log
Math - practice math facts & 1 side of worksheet
Spelling - study words
