Pen Pals
We have finished our pen pal letters and sent them off to Pairieview. Tuesday we will go to Pairieview to meet our pen pals. It is a very exciting time, students will have the opportunity to see what 3rd grade will be like and have any questions they may have answered.
ABC - Countdown
Monday - O -we will read outside
Tuesday - P - puzzle day, bring a puzzle from home
Wednesday - Q - quiet day
Thursday - R - bring a book from home to read with a friend
Friday - S - superhero day (ex. wear a superhero t-shirt, bring in a favorite superhero book)
Reading
We will be reading two stories this week Join the Circus! and Raymond's Best Summer.
Join the Circus! is a nonfiction story about what life is like for Zhang Jin and her friends as circus performers. Raymond's Best Summer is a fiction story about Raymond as he goes for his swimming test.

Math
Students will solve multistep problems and estimate differences for 3-digit numbers. There will be a test on Chapter 23, 3-Digit Subtraction. We will begin Chapter 24, Multiplication and Division Concepts.
Science
We will finish up our butterfly journals and our rainforest animal booklets.
Social Studies
Students will obtain information about a chariot by reading a diagram.
