Reading/Language Arts
Writing Workshop
This week the students will be working on persuasive writing. They will be using logic, language, and evidence to influence the reader. We will be using the 5 steps in the writing process: prewriting, drafting, revising, proofreading, and publishing. We will be looking for spelling errors, complete sentences, capitalization, punctuation, and a topic sentence with related ideas.
Math
We be adding and subtracting money amounts. Students will also count on from an amount tendered to determine change.
Science
We will review for a chapter test on plants.
Social Studies
We will review for a test on Unit 3, Working Together.
Homework
Reading - read 20 minutes and complete reading log
Math - practice facts & one side of a worksheet, 2 sides of a workbook page
