Happy Thanksgiving!
Congratulations! I would like to congratulate all of students for completing their reading logs for the month of October. Everyone received a certificate for a free Personal Pan Pizza from Pizza Hut.
The Kids on the Block Assembly - The children learned how to handle bullying: act brave, ignore, stand up for yourself, tell an adult, be a buddy, and don't bully back. The assembly encouraged kindness and positive behavior.
Poetry
We will be reading 'Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving, by Dav Pilkey. Students will describe the poem by using rhyme, rhythm, and stanza. We'll also discuss the author's imagination and use of descriptive words.
Math
Students will continue to practice 2-digit subtraction with and without regrouping. They will check the differences by using the inverse operation of addition.
Homework - Please remember to complete your reading log and practice your math facts.
