Student of the Week
Hajira
Second Grade Concert
Please join us Monday, October 24th at 7 p.m. in the Lakeview gymnasium for our Halloween concert, Squirm. (Students should arrive at 6:45) The children have been putting in a lot to time to making this an awesome concert. They are very excited about performing for their family and friends.
Reading
Students will be working on descriptive writing. They will describe a character or Halloween costume. The writing traits we will be focusing on are: word choice, conventions, and presentation.
Math
We will review for a test on Chapter 5, Explore 2-Digit Addition. We will continue to practice 2-digit addition with and without regrouping in Chapter 6. Students will be asked to rewrite number sentences from horizontal to vertical.
Science
We will identify living things as things that grow and change.
Social Studies
Students will identify various landforms such as mountains, islands, plains, valleys, and peninsulas and bodies of water such as lakes, rivers, and oceans.
Homework
Reading - read 20 minutes and complete reading log
Math - practice facts & one side of a worksheet, 2 sides of a workbook page
