Reading/Language Arts
Students will use the information they have collected to write a name poem about their rainforest animal. They will revise and edit their animal report for the final copy.

Math
We will be identifying fractions that represent more than 1 equal part of a whole and identifying fractions that describe a whole and are equal to 1.

Science
The class will have special visitors this week. Our Painted Lady caterpillars should be arriving any day now. Students will be recording their observations in their Butterfly Journals.

Social Studies
Students will learn how customs and celebrations reflect an American love of individualism, inventiveness, and freedom.

Homework
Reading - read 20 minutes and complete reading log
Math - practice facts & one side of a worksheet
