Hat Day Celebration


Our Creativity Shines

Thank you  - to our chaperones that accompanied us to the DuPage Children's Museum: Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Gajula and Mrs. Motuelle.  Everyone had an awesome time in class and interacting with the many exhibits.

Reading/Language Arts
We will continue with the different stories of the 3 Little Pigs.  We will also be reading the fables:  The Hare and the Tortoise, The Crow and the Pitcher, The Grasshopper and the Ants, Belling the Cat and The Fly on the Wagon. 
Focus:  predicting, central message

Everyone was excited to receive their pen pal letters from Ms. Pellin's class.  We will be writing back next week.



Math
We have begun working with division.  We will use repeated subtraction to divide. There will be a math test on multiplication and division concepts.

Social Studies
We will review for a unit test on Our Country Long Ago.

Science
We will begin the unit, Energy and Motion.  The first chapter will be Light and Heat. Children will learn how energy and matter interact.

Homework
Reading - read for 20 minutes and complete Reading Log
Math - practice facts
Spelling - new words will be given on Wednesday, practice word patterns
