OLSAT - tests scores are in.  If you would like a copy of you child's score please notify the office that you will picking them up or send in a self-addressed stamped envelope, they will be mailed to you.

Book Orders
Books orders were sent home on Wednesday.  You can order books online at:  https://clubs2.scholastic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/LogonForm. The class activation code is:  GTFFX.  If you wish to order books, please order by Tuesday May 20th, books will arrive before summer break.

Theme:  Family Time
Genre: realistic fiction
The story for this week is Carousel.  Alex's father misses her birthday party, and everything is spoiled until the animals on his gift of a tiny carousel come to life in a dream.

Math
There will be a test on Chapter 20, Place Value.  We will begin Chapter 21, Compare and Order Greater Numbers.  Students will use <, > and  = , to compare 3-digit numbers using place value.

Science
We will be starting Chapter 12, Sound, the vocabulary words are: sound, vibrate.  Students will learn that sound is caused by vibrations, sound travels in all directions, and sound travels differently through gases, liquids and solids.

Social Studies
We will learn that people celebrate selected customs and that the celebrations reflect an American love of individualism, inventiveness and freedom.

Homework
Reading - read for 20 minutes & complete reading log, check spelling, capital letters, and punctuation
